One of the rewarding things about being a volunteer teen counsellor is having group worship and hearing young share their point of views. Especially when it’s about Jesus Christ.

This song was inspired from one of those praise & worship sessions.

I dedicate this song to the old school teen Cairns Pathfinders: Christian, Hernando, Rebecca, Tamala, Kristina, Chinny, Brenda, Billy, Zena, Chelleiah and Jasmine.

A Sorry Business Song | When words can not express such deep sorrow, a sweet song can speak from an aching child’s heart and soul.

At the age of 13, I wrote this song in grief, when I heard my adopted grandmother had passed away.

And when my Dad’s breath passed back into the Dreamtime, I had this song to carry me and give me strength to walk again.

My prayer is that this song will bring comfort and healing to your hearts.

As the church worship leader, I visited Pr Robinson’s residence. He asked me to write a song for the approaching Easter program. I went home, sat at my family’s Kawaii piano and composed this song. Within the week, I was in the studio recording and on Saturday - singing this song with the worship team.
